FIRE MAIDEN

I put black on it first then changed it to almost gold - just like me - almost golden!

This picture represents my desire to drink. I've used origami stars and sticks to create depth.

BLACK LADY LOVE

I created this painting in response to the Black Lives Matter movement. My own experience of relying on other people to literally speak for me for months and years after the accident helped me to realise that some members of our society in the West are excluded from the decision making process that white middle class people take for granted. I felt that Black Lives Matter was a beacon of hope, a whole section of society saying “We’re here, our lives, beliefs and opinions matter just as much as yours”.
